Most Americans Consider Themselves Pro-Life

Finally, something good comes out of the current administration!

"Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A new Gallup poll shows that the majority of Americans self-identify as pro-life on the issue of abortion for the first time in 15 years. The Gallup survey shows the percentage of Americans saying they are pro-life at its highest point since 1995 and those saying they are "pro-choice" at its lowest.

The Gallup survey, conducted May 7-10, finds 51% of Americans calling themselves pro-life and just 42 percent saying they are "pro-choice" and supporting legal abortions."

i saw this poll. this is great news. some have suggested his ultra-liberal policies in regard to pro-choice have pushed pro-choice republicans and moderate into retreat. it's also pushed pro-life liberals there, (like me) there, too. public opinion in regard to him has slipped. 43 percent of American disapprove of him - via the Rasmussen Report.

I saw this report and it made me happy. If Obama would shift on this issue I would feel more positive about his leadership. I just don't understand how such an educated, articulate man who values community service and claims to be an advocate for citizens can be so extremely left on the life issue.

I don't think he is going to change his mind but we can pray for God to soften his heart anyway. I think his recent comments that make him appear to shift more central are in reaction to the public's outcry against his more radical views. We will have to continue to watch him very carefully.
