Fairness Doctrine is not Fair

I've actually heard that the fairness doctrine would be good for the conservative cause because most of media is left wing and elected the present president. If only these laws were fairly enforced...then most of the networks including the publicly funded ones would be forced to give us air time. lol.

Thanks for commenting and that is a good point to consider. There are several problems with this. First of all, it is an infringement on free speech. Second of all, it focuses on radio, which is typically where the conservatives have their voice. Thirdly, it sets a dangerous preceidence for us bloggers. Imagine if the government told you that you had to present both sides of every issue - including religion, abortion, etc. That is really scary.
